I am surprised the mention of stickness was left out, surely bounce rate would be important to determine, but I suppose not every other site is measured on Google Analytics

what if the bounce is within the site but not on the specific page? we need to look at bounce rate from the perspective of the overall site or specific page. - 3 Reasons Why You Should Not Rely On Google Alone
Thanks Yasir! PPC model is quite similar to the stock market, when it’s a bull market, savvy marketer should start looking for alternative platforms. Personally, if language is not a barrier, one should seriously take a look at the non-english speaking market..search engines like Baidu in China, or the Russian markets… - 3 Reasons Why “Ethical” SEO Companies are Misleading
I think the impression is this, at least that’s what I think. Perception is “ethical” practices can sustain for a longer period whereas “unethical” practices can result in quick results which are unsustainable, and the worse case scenario is when the client’s get banished from the index forever…so ethical practices are essentially getting the spider to understand what your website is about 1st.the offsite portion is where it gets more grey…cos there is technically nothing with submitting one’s site to hundreds of directories. but if the SEs frown on such practices then it’s considered unethical at least by their definition…well we can debate this for a long time, but you are right, what’s most important the clients get their results and results that last…

@singapore-seo-guy I would have to disagree on that one. Even though every website does not use Analytics, Google (and possibly other search engines) are putting a lot of weight on what the bounce rate is and how much the visitors like the website in question. I have found it very helpful to ensure that my websites feature interesting content. That way, the bounce rate is reduced and the rankings do not suffer.
A site’s download speed should be included somewhere. I’m not sure if it fits with #1, but Google’s definitely letting webmasters know that it’s important to have fast, clean sites.
That makes sense. In fact I remember reading somewhere that webpage loading time will be taking into account in the future, which boils down to this: If you have a horribly slow loading page, you can expect your rankings to decrease.
great post
I believe the speed of your site and the bounce rate should have been included in your chart, but then there are so many elements of SEO that your chart could go on and on forever.
